      There is another pelican on that sculpture’s head in the background. I wish it had had its head turned the other way. Wait! Animal wranglers! (Where are they when you need them.)

  2. this is one of those shots you cannot believe and yet it is here, so you end up realizing you are capable of believing afterall. the distant modern, the pelican’s ancient posture, the it-can’t-be-but-it-is sculptures and the pelican on the sculpture’s head.
